~Poinsettias~

Poinsettias... some people love them and some  not so much. I happen to be one of them who love them, especially red ones! I have them in every room.
Look what it was doing here yesterday :)

Seeing that made me play around in picmonkey way too long!!
Snowflakes anyone...
My favorite little pillow I bought from Ann's shop last year.
Look at this cute little faux one.

I even have a hooked poinsettia rug that I use in our powder room.
I still need a few more smaller ones for a centerpiece I want to do on our kitchen table.
Do you like to decorate with poinsettias? What color do you like?

  2. Martina poinsettias add that perfect pop of red! I don't decorate with them but I think they are so pretty! I could probably do white in my house. But not real ones. With our cat it would be deadly.

  3. Oh, Poinsettias are just beautiful. They look great in your home, Martina.

I love the PINK ones, but alas, I can't be around them. I have the worst allergic reaction to them, that triggers an asthma attack. The old church we used to go to had Poinsettias everywhere...in huge stacks and row upon row. When they were out, I couldn't even attend services there. :(

  10. I do like poinsettias. I think they look best when done in groups. Yours look good since they are part of your decorating theme. I like the white ones myself, but when doing a traditional red and green colorscheme you can't go wrong with red!

  11. Yes I like to use pointsettias in my decor, they provide a nice pop of color. I have not bought any yet....Down here in SC, I have seen them in planters outside on porches.....I actually like a mixture of colors, pink and white speckled, red and white.........

  14. My husband loves poinsettias. I think the problem for me is that I don't have the exterior windows to place them in so they droop pretty quickly. When we lived in FL they grew wild around our house-clear up to the window sills along one side. xo Diana

  22. Hi Martina,
I use to buy them but then never knew what to do with them after Christmas. Now I stick to Paper Whites and Amaryllis. Poinsettias definately say Christmas. Yours looks so pretty with picmonkey dusting of snow. Picmonkey is too much fun! Love, love your pillow!

  39. It's funny, I used to hate poinsettias, but then I learned to like them, and now I love them! But only during the holidays! I especially like the newer white and pink ones. Costco has gigantic red ones now for $15. I bought two for my entry!

  42. Wonderful Martina! Moving from California to Michigan the first year I went to place my poinsettias outside on the porch. My neighbors laughed at me! LOL, how was I supposed to know that they would die right away? Now, I safely keep them inside! Yours are lovely!

  43. Martina, I noticed the snow in your header immediately, and then you showed the pic of the real snow that you had. I live in SC and we do not get much snow so I'm fascinated by it. Your poinsettias are beautifully displayed around your lovely home. I usually get the red ones, but today I saw some gorgeous red and white speckled ones. May go with those!

  44. Hi Martina! I see it's still snowing on your poinsettias! :) Thanks for popping in to see me.

  45. Your poinsettias look beautiful.

I love them and have a few live plants in the house during Christmas. Just bought the first of the season last night at Lowe's. They have pothos planted around them. Love that added green.
