I love the look burlap gives a room, and when I saw these burlap table skirts in Ballard Designs I had to have one and I knew exactly where I was going to use it. The tables that I have in my living room were a set and I've had them about 16 years now. I don't think I want to paint them but I like how adding the table skirt to the oval table breaks up the set, it actually makes the table look round. I love this look!
I also added a burlap shade from PB to this lamp that I bought in Home Goods a few months ago. I love PB lamp shades, they have so many styles to chose from.
Hope you all are having a great week! Martina

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, love that lamp and shade too.
ReplyDeleteThe tablecloth is gorgeous. It looks beautiful with your chairs and such a great idea for a change in looks. Beautiful fringe on the bottom. Love the shade also. Everything looks amazing. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteThe tablecloth is so pretty! It looks great with the chairs. I know what you mean about not wanting to paint the tables. I have a few pieces I would like to paint, but then again, I'm not sure I really want to paint them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spot! I love your pretty tablecloth.
ReplyDeletebe a sweetie,
shelia ;)
I got the burlap tableclothes without the fringe last year, Martina, as the fringe ones were out of stock. I would have preferred the fringe, but the ones I got happened to be on sale at the time anyway. Since I had slipcovered my sofa with a white slipcover, I found the burlap to be a nice neutral and texture added in. I love your lampshade. That is next on my list when I find a little lamp for my new little dresser.
ReplyDeleteI've had my eye on that burlap shade at PB. It looks fabulous on your lamp. I think the lampshades they have available now are wonderful. Very neutral. Great job...your room is lovely!
ReplyDeleteThat looks awesome Martina~ I love the texture and French look it adds.
ReplyDeleteI have come to love the look of burlap as well. Just bought five round tablecloths for outdoor dining and most recently bought a whole bolt of burlap fabric for whatever. I am hooked on the use of burlap myself. Loved your post, your table cloth and shade.

And, you're right ... they DO have awesome lampshades, don't they ?! Now, if they'd only come down on their prices just a tad. LOL. xo

ReplyDeleteI want one of those tablecloths-too cute. I like theburlap lamp shade to tie it all together. A lovely room.
ReplyDeleteThe table covering is so amazing! I recently used a drop cloth to make a slip cover but I really would love to work with burlap. I love the added fringe :D
ReplyDeleteYour burlap table cloth is gorgeous! I love the fringe at the bottom. And, the lampshade...perfect! Thanks for sharing pictures of your beautiful home!
ReplyDeleteSharlotte
Your tableskirt is wonderful. And I love the window decor!
ReplyDeleteI love burlap details- great color and texture! Very nice choice of shade. :) I've been eying some burlap pillows on Belle Escape but haven't ordered them yet. Maybe I'll find a shade to match first! The lamp we have is similar to the one in your last photo, but black and more rounded. I think a burlap shade would probably offset the iron nicely.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!!
