My Loot!!

Hey there friends...
A few weeks ago right before the kids finished up with school I took a little trip for myself to an antique store that's about 40mins away...
I haven't been there in over a year!
~~~
It was definitely worth the drive...because I didn't come home empty handed!!
 Love the patina on this one!
Only $28 for this nice size demijohn.
~~~
 Who says copper is just for the kitchen! I hung these near the front door.
Love the way they look here.

My cane collection is growing nicely!
~~~
Wishing you all a happy and safe 4th of July!!
A New Gallery Wall
 Hi there friends...
Hope you all had a great weekend...the weather here in NY was beautiful...but it sure is hot and sticky today!!
~~~
After changing things around in our family room I was left with a blank wall that drove me crazy!!
I still wanted to used these pear plaques I ordered from Nell Hill's a few years ago...but without the chair and lamp here they would have looked lost hanging alone.

Here's the Before...
So I came up with this grouping...
Here's the After...

Demijohns on the table...I added an apple stem to the large green one for added height and texture.
 The little bull plaque was another purchase from the Country Living Fair...I'm sorry I didn't buy two of them:-(
 The old frame and tole tray I found at a local antique store.
Looking at this spot from the sofa...

...then from the kitchen table.
  Look what else I found at the fair...this large column base.
I've wanted one of these for awhile :-)

  Thanks so much for stopping by...have a super week and stay cool!!

Cha Cha Cha Changes!

Hey there friends...hope you all had a great weekend!
I'm at it again!!
A little change was made in our foyer using a few of the things I bought at the Country Living Fair.

I've been on the hunt for one of these flat hanging baskets and had no luck finding one until I went to the CL Fair!
These ironstone plates came home with me too.
Here's how things used to look...
Here's how they look now...
Love it!
I simply filled the basket with this dried bundle I picked up at Hobby Lobby...love this stuff I want to find other things to use it in!
I added three of the plates around it and the other two found a home in my master bedroom which you'll see soon.
  I love the new look!
It's always fun changing things up...
what changes have you made recently?

My cheapest one yet!!

 Hi there friends...
We've been so busy around here the last few weeks with my oldest graduating 8th grade this past Friday...her semi formal...and all the class trips they took in the last month (and I made sure I went on every one of them!). Their school definitely goes all out for the graduating class...they make them feel super special!
 Her year was filled with many special memories!
~~~
I can't believe she's going to start high school in September and we all know how fast those 4 years go!
We are so proud of our girl!!
~~~
Ok... let's get on with the post now!
I still can't believe I only paid $1.50 for this demijohn! You heard me right only $1.50!!!
I found it in my favorite antique store in Connecticut.
It's a great size and it's in perfect condition.

 I'd definitely say this was a good find!!
Have a great week!
