Chest Makeover

 Hi there friends...Happy Monday!!
Hope you all had a nice weekend!
~~~
The antique chest I found last week for our master bath is done and in it's new home...let's have a look.
Remember the Before...
 All this piece needed was a little TLC...
now she's pretty again!
 I LOVE how it turned out!
 I used AS chalk paint in Pure White. I didn't want this piece to look perfect so I heavily distressed it then waxed it using the clear wax.
  Kept the original pulls...I like how they look.
Next up is a side view...
Look at that shine on the top!
I had everything on hand for the vignette I created on top...the only thing new is the fern I picked up at the grocery store.
One more Before & After...
Never underestimate the power of paint!!
~~~
Thanks so much for stopping by...
This will be it for me this week, going to enjoy some time with the kiddos and get ready for our company on Easter...have a great week!

Antique finds under $100

 Hi there friends...
On Monday my hubby had to go to his back doctor for a follow up and I went along. His doctor is in Connecticut and on the way we pass a great antique store!
~~~
 Didn't come home empty handed:-)
I found this pretty chair for $25...I'm going to use it near the desk in our study.
After I give it a good cleaning I'm going to give it a fresh coat of black paint
 The rush seat is in great condition.
 Next I found these antique insulators...they had a ton of them...they were $2 each.  Next time I visit I'm going to pick up a few more.
~~~
I've been on the hunt for a small cabinet for our master bath...it must have been my lucky day because I finally found one.
 She's definitely an old piece which I love...she just needs a little TLC!
They were asking $75 for it but I got it for $50.
I worked on this piece yesterday...I'll be back soon to show you the makeover!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Pottery Barn Sectional for the Family Room

 Hey there friends...
I'm moving right along getting my house back in order and wanted to show you a picture of the new PB sofa I just ordered for our family room.
Since we removed the half wall between the family room and breakfast room that allowed me to do a new furniture arrangement :-)
~~~
I chose the Cameron Sofa in their washed linen fabric in Seagrass...not to dark and not to light.
That color went very nice with my floral chair that will be staying in the room also.
 This will be my first sectional.
I originally was thinking of doing a sofa and love seat but wanted the most seating for the room since this is the room we're always in... so the sectional was the way to go.
~~~
I had one of Pottery Barns designer's come to my home...(which they do free of charge!!)she drew up the space for me with both the sectional and the sofa and loveseat so I could see how the room would look before I ordered.
~~~
I highly recommend that if your unsure of how the room will look with a new layout...it was great seeing both layouts on paper!
~~~
Now I have to wait the 8 weeks for it to be delivered...patience is not one of my strong points lol!!

The floors are done!! Living Room Reveal

Hey there friends...
I know it's been a while since I last posted!
I caught the flu from my youngest two weeks ago and boy was I sick...I was in bed almost all week!!
~~~
 They finished installing the floors last weekend...I couldn't be more happier with the way they turned out!  I spent the last week painting and trying to get the house back in order.
~~~
I'll start by showing you the living room first since that room is pretty much done.
The floors are Brazilian Koa by Bellawood 3 1/4 wide.

Gallery wall stayed the same...love how everything looks on the lighter walls.
This color is throughout the whole first floor & upstairs hallway.

Moved a few chairs around and switched a few from other rooms too.

Took the clock off the wall and added the sconce and blue and white plates.
The buffalo check chair from our family room made it's way in here...
along with the wicker chair from in there too.

The green table was in our master bedroom...now it has a home in here.
That's our Neena girl sun bathing in the next shot...
she wouldn't move for the picture:-)
 We even splurged and ordered all the matching vent covers...so glad we did!

 Here's a reminder of the old flooring.

Have  a great weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!!
I'll be back soon to show you more!
