Well I wasn't feeling like my entry was complete for Christmas so I went ahead and added live garland to my staircase. It's mixed greens which I like for the added fullness and I just added a simple bow using my favorite ribbon. I also used this ribbon to tie the garland to the rail.
Much better!
Another change I made was to the table in my breakfast room...remember the before...
and now the after...much more festive!
Just a little more Christmas cheer mainly using things I already had!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Hi Friends...Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a great weekend!
Today I'll be sharing all the Christmas touches I added to our kitchen this year. This years theme is a Farmhouse Country Christmas kitchen...try and say that fast three times lol!
Let's have a look around...
I wrapped the strand of garland with white lights and have it set on a timer...the hubby added an outlet up there for me a few years ago.
Live greenery fill a galvanized bucket and white pitcher.
Added some cranberries to my silver tray for a pop of red and tucked my decorative Christmas rolling pin in the corner.
Greenery and pinecones dress the shelving near the window along with a red berry wreath.
and a simple centerpiece for the table...
Next up I'll be taking you on a tour of the dining room.
Thanks so much for stopping by...Have a great week!

Hi Friends...
With putting up the Christmas tree and other decorations some of the everyday things had to get moved around and I really didn't feel like bringing EVERYTHING up to our storage room!
So I found a new spot for certain things like this little table I had in the corner of our family room where our tree is now. It works perfectly in our breakfast area along with my new fruit botanical prints.
Here's where it usually is...
I added a few Christmas touches to it. That cute pinecone candle I found in a home decor shop near me...they wanted $20 for it!! When I went back the day after Thanksgiving they were marked down...I ended up only paying $5 for it...so I bought the last three that they had!! Not bad right!
Now the problem is... I really like the table in it's new home which means I'll have to look for a different one to replace it after Christmas;)

Happy Monday Friends...
I spent all weekend decking the halls here at Northern Nesting...which I'm sure most of you were doing the same too! Too busy with the decorating to cook so my family ate up all the Thanksgiving leftovers;)
Here is the first thing you will see stepping in the front door...
I went with all live greenery this year. I bought this pretty swag at a local nursery and just added the bow.
This Santa picture was a recent Home Goods find.
A wreath that I have had for years dresses up the front door.
I may just add some live garland to the railing...which I'll show you guys if I decide to do it.
Can't wait to see what you all have been up to...Happy decorating!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
