Adding some PIZAZZ to a plain black tray!

Crafty I am not, but I think I gave this plain black tray a little pizazz when I added this black and white zig zag(Chevron) fabric to the inside of it.
I even finished it off with some white roping. After cutting the fabric to size I used Mod Podge to glue it to the tray. The Mod Podge didn't work to well with the white roping so I used my glue gun for that.
I bought the fabric and roping in Hobby Lobby.
Now Mackenzie has a spot to gather some of her favorite things.
See that white ceramic box, I made that in ceramics class at least 30 years ago. She uses it for all her earrings.
Much cuter for a teenager's room, don't you think!
Hope your all having a super week...there is snow in our forecast for today and tonight:(

~Chairs~

My friend Alison over @ the Polohouse is having her Favorites on the First Party and this month we're sharing our favorite chair or chairs!
Here's a few favorites around my house...
My buffalo check chair in our family room has always been a favorite.
Another chair in our family room that's so comfy & perfect for snuggling up with a cup of tea and a magazine.

The french chair in my living room that my mom bought for me a few years ago for my birthday...love this chair!
Another french style set of chairs that I have in our living room.
And last but not least are my kitchen chairs, I love these chairs and I'm so glad I mixed it up a bit and bought the darker ones for the end chairs.

Well there ya have it... these are my favorite chairs, now I can't wait to head on over to Alison's and see yours!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

A few changes in the Kitchen

It was a cold and rainy day yesterday so what's a girl to do when she's stuck in the house all day...play of course!
This wall in my kitchen has been on my radar to change for quite sometime, so I finally got around to doing it...so glad I did!!
I bought nothing new, had everything I needed on hand.
I was so excited to get this done I forgot about taking a before shot, but I found one from my very FIRST post! WOW... how things have changed!!
My in-laws gave us this clock. It was pine and I painted it red a few years ago.
I added the basket and sign over my pantry door. This was in another spot before.
This sweet bunny painting I purchased from my friend Ann On Sutton Place before she opened her Etsy shop. I love it grouped with my cabbage plates, I'm so glad I found a place for it in my kitchen!

A few more changes are in the works so stay tuned!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a super weekend!
