This was a table makeover for my sweet cousin who lives in NYC. She has a beautiful apartment with the most AMAZING views!!
She has this cute little table in her entry hall and asked if I would give it a little makeover. Well of course I will, I love pulling out the chalk paint and paint brushes! What she doesn't know is, I love the way it turned out so much she might not be getting it back, Ha! ;)
Here's a pic of the before. It was gray and white.
and here's the after... done in Old White first and then Aubusson Blue.
It was also waxed with both the clear and dark waxes, and then heavily distressed.
I even replaced the knob with this cute glass one.
I'm also working on an Ikea bookcase for her, so stay tuned that's next!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a super week!

Look what I found at Target
I walked into Target the other day with the intention of just getting a lunchbox for my oldest, when suddenly out of the corner of my eye I spotted this fabulous burlap lamp shade!
I knew the minute I saw it, it was coming home with me!
Below is a pic of the old lampshade .
A quick and easy change. I love it!!
Have a great weekend!

Basket, Bottles, & Books
Well the kids went back to school today and the house is so quite! I miss them:(
I played around this weekend with a new vignette for the coffee table in my living room.
A new basket from Pottery Barn filled with the other demijohn I recently purchased along with some of my decorating books, a vintage bottle my mom gave me..or should I say I begged her for;)) and a little touch of greenery to fill an empty spot.
This basket is made so nicely and it's very sturdy. It's part of their Mendoza collection. I have quite a few baskets from PB and have been very happy with the quality.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Favorites on the First
Happy weekend!!
Today I'm joining Alison over @ The Polohouse for her monthly Favorites on the First party. Today's theme is "Your Favorite Room".
In the last year I've made quite a bit of changes in our house, and there are a couple of rooms that I could say are my favorite. My dining room is one of them. This room makes me smile every time I walk by it!
In the last year this room has been repainted for a much lighter and brighter look, and the hubby and I added the picture molding under the chair rail. You can see the before here.
Added these woven blinds to the windows for texture.
Dressed up the chandy with a little bling and added the beeswax sleeves. Love it!
My favorite change was adding these red transferware plates that I bought from Nancy, around the mirror. It filled in this large wall perfectly.
Thank you Alison for hosting this fun party!
Can't wait to see everyone elses favorite room!
