Outdoor project reveal~A look around the yard

 Hi there friends...
Remember I mentioned we had a project going on outside...
Well today I'll be giving you a little tour around the outside of our home and show you just what we've been up to!
I was so tired of always having to pick up the rocks and mulch that landed in the grass after our lawn had been cut and trimmed...
so we decided to have stone edging installed all around our garden beds...lots and lots of stone!
We love the finished look it gave our garden areas!
 Yucca plant in full bloom.

The stone edging gives the yard a neat and finished look.

Coming up the side of the house to the front...sorry I cut the side view off a little...didn't want to take away from the prettiness with showing the pool equipment.

 Looking at the opposite side towards our neighbors house.
I love the look of fresh mulch!
This area took 6 yards of mulch...I spread it all myself...good thing I had a full bottle of advil on hand LOL!
 I planted this purple catmint last year all along the edge and it came back in abundance!
 This is the top of that side garden...
I call it my wooded area.
One of the things I love about our development is that the builders left quite a few mature trees around when they began building in here 18 years ago.

Let's move down to the back yard now...
We had our stone wall rebuilt with concrete...
and I planted 5 hot pink knock-out roses along the edge for color.
Aren't they pretty!!

 Looking out my bedroom window.
~~~
Thanks for walking around with me I hope you enjoyed the tour!
Share Your Style #19
 Hi there friends...
Welcome to another Share Your Style!
This weeks host is Barbara from
~~~~

Hi everyone and welcome back to another Share Your Style link up party! This week your party hostess is me, Barbara from 21 Rosemary Lane, and I am absolutely thrilled to be here hosting. Remember there are 7 other blogs also hosting this party so when you link up with one host you will be linking with all 8 of us from the Share Your Style team!!

Myself and our little family are spending a few lovely days relaxing at the beach enjoying the surf and sun, so there was plenty of time for me to sit and peruse through all of your fabulous links from last week's SYS party.

This week I am coming to you...

Well summer is off and running and so is the incredible amount of inspiration from all who linked up to SYS #18. There was an amazing number of creative DIY projects, room makeovers, recipes, fun ideas and much more from last week's party, that I really had a tough time narrowing down just what to highlight. So without further ado, here are a few links I hope you will enjoy checking out!

From Beyond the Portico Sheila shared some tips on how she created this darling throw pillow for her screened in porch.

The Curator's Collection revived two gorgeous 1920's chairs with MMS Milk paint and a grain sack striped upholstered seat cover for a romantic shabby look.

 Another chair makeover came from A Stroll Thru Life. Marty was brave enough to remove the rush seats from two of her beautiful 1972 dining room chairs and replaced them with stunning new seat cushions. She gives a wonderful step by step tutorial on just how to achieve this look.

Michele from The Joyful Home shared her sister's stylish formal living room of which she helped to decorate with some of these beautiful elements.

 Back Porch Musings enjoyed a delicious scoop of French vanilla ice cream with a fresh strawberry and some milk chocolate pretzel bark, all in a pretty yard sale glass. Now how simple yet elegant does that look?

And finally Julie from A Little Farmstead shared the most adorable old fashioned baseball themed birthday party for her 6 year old son.

Complete with hot dogs, Coca-Cola, the cutest party favors you ever saw, a rousing game of baseball and even a Babe Ruth cardboard cut-out to help welcome guests to the party.

If your link was featured this week please make sure to take our "Featured My Style" button to proudly display on your blog.

Now on with this week's party!!
Please remember to have a link back to one of our 8 hosts and to be a bit of a social butterfly by visiting some of the other party goers!

XO

New pillows for the Master Bedroom

 Hi there friends...
I hope all the amazing dads out there had a wonderful Father's Day yesterday!
My hubby got spoiled...
which he so deserves 100x over!
~~~
Well friends...my friend Linda worked her magic for me again!
She made me these pretty pillow shames with ruffles and the two long toile pillow covers.
I bought the small grain sack pillow at the
Country Living Fair a few weeks ago from
French Laundry Home.
 Linda also made me this long topper for my round table...I like how the light linen fabric softened the look of the burlap skirt.
Love this grain sack looking throw at the foot of our bed...I ordered it online from Wayfair a few months ago.
My summer look for our master bedroom!
~~~
Thanks so much for stopping by...
Have a super week!
