~SPRING VIGNETTE~ Blog Hop Day 2

 Hi there friends...
Welcome to the Share Your Style
Spring Blog Hop!

~~~
Even though the weather here in NY is far from Spring temps I decided to bring some "Spring" inside...starting with a vignette on my favorite blue chest!
I shopped the house and used things I already had except for the pretty white tulips I bought in the grocery store.
Tulips in tarnished silver makes me smile:-)
I pulled this nest out of one of our trees last fall.
I moved my column base in here...the nest sits on top of a stack of my favorite blue and white dishes...then covered it all with a pretty cloche...simple and pretty!
Well it may not feel like Spring outside but it's starting to look like Spring inside!
Thanks so much for stopping by today...
I hope you "hop" on over to see my other blogging friends...you'll get to see so much more Spring inspiration!
Adding more botanicals
 Hi there friends...
TGIF!
~~~
When I redid our powder room back in January... the space above the toilet was left bare...I wasn't sure what I wanted to hang there.
~~~
Then I remembered I had two frames in my storage room that matched the ones holding the botanical prints already there...so I ordered two more prints to fill them.
 Here's a close-up of the new ones...the burlap mattes came with the frames so that was a plus!
 I ordered them from the same shop on Etsy that I ordered my other ones from BelleBotanica...she has such pretty prints.
Love how they filled in this wall space.
This light is still my favorite change that I made in here...
so I had to give you a close-up of it again ;-)
Now I feel I can check this room off the list...done!
Thanks so much for stopping by...have a great weekend!
Share Your Style #5
Hi there friends...welcome to another week of Share Your Style!
This weeks host is Kelly from the blog
The Essence of Home.
I can't wait to see what you all have to share with us this week...so let's get this party started!
Hello!  Welcome to the 5th weekly Share Your Style party!  My name is, Kelly.  I blog at The Essence of Home and I am your host this week.  I hope you will stop by my blog and check it out if you haven't already.  I love decorating in both Swedish and Country French styles. I have been blogging for many years and share decorating ideas, recipes, shopping excursions, gardening and some of my family life as well.    I'm so glad that you decided to join us this week.
The great thing about linking up to this party is that your link will be shared on 8 blogs at one time!  So, you get great exposure for your blog.  Look at all these blogs that your one link will be shared on.
It was so much fun to look at everyone's links from last week's party.  Here are just a few that I wanted to feature today.
Rowhouse Blog shared some beautiful mantels on display in Nell Hill's store.  They gave me some great inspiration for some different looks.
The 2 Seasons gave a tutorial on how to make custom designer style pillows inexpensively.  I would love to own a sewing machine so I could do this!  One day, I will get up the nerve to buy one and try this myself.
Buckets of Burlap showed how you can "think outside the box" by using a crate as a coffee table!  Her home is so charming in a country farmhouse style.  Go check it out.
Chatfield Court shared a yummy recipe for easy banana bread with something special added!  Chocolate chips!  I think I will give this a try.  I always seem to have too many over ripe bananas left over so this will be a good way to use them up.
If your post was featured, please grab this button below and copy and paste it in the sidebar of your blog!
Thank you to each and every one of you for participating in this weekly party.
It would not be a success without all of you!
I look forward to seeing all of your new inspirations this week.
~The Antique Desk~
Hi there friends...
I hope you all had a nice weekend!
~~~
A few weeks ago when I showed you my new canvas hanging on the right...I gave you a little peek of what else came home with me...it was this pretty antique writing desk.
My heart started to flutter when I spotted it...
 I knew exactly where it would go!
The price was right so home it came:-)

Remember the round skirted table that I had here before...

...well that was moved to a new location!

I filled the slots with vintage books...added a few of my favorite decorating books...a magnifying glass and this little blue and white piece that's been in my family for years.
On the top I used one of my fruit plates and an old brass bell that I found one day antiquing.

I needed a piece to fill in this corner...and this desk did the trick!
Thanks so much for stopping by...
have a great week!
